Something of a change from my usual road trip shenanigans. I recently had the opportunity to travel to Papua New Guinea. The company I work for was contracted to provide an international broadcast service for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. This entailed the construction and running of multiple temporary satellite earth stations around the Capital City.
We were allowed only to travel between the worksites and a cruise ship that served as a temporary hotel for all the visiting media personnel.
This series showcases the behind the scenes work at the main media centre as well as a few sights in between.
